Healthy Under 5's

Children need a healthy balanced diet, rich in fruit and vegetables for their growth, behaviour and long-term development.

Healthy under 5's plays a vital role here at Gorran Pre-School Hoglets, providing us with a framework that we use to deliver nutritious food to our under 5's, so that we can help to give the children in our care the best start in life.

We have taken part in Nippers' Nutrition since the early part of 2013, and have managed to achieve and maintain the highest level, providing a well-balanced, varied and above all tasty and exciting snack time for your children. The programme is championed by some of the biggest names in the world of nutrition and Early Years Education, and it is a priceless tool for educating both children and parents on snack and meal ideas.

At Gorran Pre-School we put together weekly menu planners that carefully combine the nutritional elements that your children need for positive mental and physical development. This is delivered as a mid-morning café style snack, where the children help to prepare the food and we all sit and eat together.
